this waterfall can be a lot more powerfull and this time of year has turned it almost to a trickle to what it can be, I still love it though for the texture and effect it has done to the surounding rock, this just shows how powerfull water can be.

it's in Hardraw

it's in ( or just outside of? ) the lake district in Cumbria England, do a google image search for Lake district UK , Cumbria UK to find some stunning images, or just hunt through my gallery :-)

nice water fall ,such a clean big drop. the water falls here are often so obscured by vegetation you can't get a clear shot of them, and when the veggies aren't there the rocks obsure it. I've found so many small and large water falls in the woods that are impossible to take a good photo of. it's kinda frustrating.

nicely captured :)

good idea it might come to that. vegetation grows so fast and thick here and where there is water twice as fast and thick. I think i will have to hack my own path if I want to get a shot :D

we are lucky in the UK, we have various trusts that open up inaccessable area's to the public and maintain those area's aswell so anyone can get great views of places of interest, this in turn brings a lot of money to local communitys from tourism, there are also various walks off the beaten track aswell if you don't want to get the same shots as millions of others, odds on if there's a waterfall, ruins, woodland somewhere thats not on private property you can get good views and access to m kmost of it, it sounds like canada needs something like this if it hasn't already got it, not so much to chop 80 percent of the woodland up but just enough for paths and access, clearing a certain amount away from the sides of waterfalls etc aswell ( for the delight of many photographers :-) )

obviously nature needs to be left alone or protected aswell, that would bring in tourist money to remote villages and bring conservation into public minds aswell, in turn it could put pressure on governments to protect rather than destroy woodlands and natural habitats

ooohhh listen to me I should apply to greenpeace

This is an awesome picture of an amazing waterfall, probably the least water I've ever seen coming down it. (I worked on the gate to get to it a couple of times and me and my friend hung out writing songs up there a couple times) Loverly picture!
